Meet Your Guide: Rob Johnstone
Rob Johnstone, a Scottish-born professional astronomer, is internationally recognized through the Universe Education Forum programme, endorsed by NASA and the Harvard Smithsonian Centre for Astrophysics. Rob's journey in astronomy began with his first sighting of Halley's Comet in 1986 in South Africa, which ignited his lifelong passion for astronomy and education.
With decades of experience, Rob has educated and captivated diverse audiences including international tourists, schools, educational institutions, companies, and offered tailor made and bespoke tours in Namibia and South Africa. Four years ago, Rob brought his expertise to the Kainuu region in Finland, where he now offers unparalleled stargazing experiences in Lentiira Holiday Village, Kuhmo.

- Move to the Stargazing Location: After dinner, we will move to our nearby stargazing location, specially chosen for its clear skies and minimal light pollution. Here, you'll have the opportunity to peer through our high-quality telescope and observe the wonders of the universe that are otherwise invisible to the naked eye.
- Hot Drinks Under the Stars: Warm up with a hot beverage as you gaze up at the Milky Way.
